An Android app for reading and verifying the e-Passport NFC chips by either external µFR Series NFC Reader or NFC smartphone. The app verifies the NFC chip in the Machine Readable Travel Document (MRTD) using optically captured (OCR) information from the document’s Machine Readable Zone (MRZ). Instead of scanning the document, the MRZ data can be entered manually. Once the NFC chip is verified, the app displays document holders’ biometric data and document validity.
