LibNFC Smart Card NFC Reader/Writer

DL533N USB Dongle is a USB NFC RFID reader writer for NFC RFID cards and tags reading and writing as well as NFC P2P communication.

It’s been developed on the basis of the NXP PN533 chip, following the manufacturers’ recommendations and guidelines. NXP PN533 supports the full range of the NFC Forum specifications and standards.

This RFID product is fully supported by the open-source library LibNFC. Therefore, it is a good starting point for NFC application development projects on various platforms.

Using LibNFC libraries and examples are well explained at the LibNFC community and forums.

LibNFC is an open-source project with a large community that is in constant development. OEM card size reader corresponds to the IP54 standard and it is dust and water splash resistant.

DL533N USB DONGLE NFC READER/WRITER COMMON IMPLEMENTATION

  • Read NFC RFID -Tags: Reads the content of the NFC RFID tags (most of MIFARE® cards, FeliCa, Topaz, etc)
  • Write NFC RFID -Tags: Writes various data content onto the NFC RFID tags (URLs, SMS, Phone No, vCards, MIME types, etc).
  • Card emulation: Emulates NFC tags Type 2 and Type 4, readable by other NFC-devices.
  • P2P communication: Active NFC-based P2P communication for data transfer between NFC supported devices.

SOFTWARE

This RFID device is delivered without any binary driver.

With LibUSB and LibNFC, you can compile the drivers for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems. The compiled driver allows the developer to explore the LibNFC C API and project the custom software development.
Windows system supports the implementation with an official NXP Drivers for the PN533 based products.
 

NOTICE: The device does not support the µFR Series Software SDK.
